Chromebooks – quick, robust and accessible devices – provide a great platform to help our students become responsible digital citizens and lifelong learners. Technology allows the school to extend effective and engaging learning beyond the classroom. Students will have access anytime to information and resources wherever they are.
Traditional methods of learning and teaching still have an important place in education and will continue in our academy. Chromebooks will be a powerful educational tool and will complement these methods. Our students will be taught to use these devices productively and appropriately.
We have been using Chromebooks in lessons for over 4 years and they have been a fantastic addition to the classroom, particularly as we have met the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic. The feedback from both staff and students has been extremely positive.
Our scheme is an opt in scheme; provision will be made for all students. As an academy, we firmly believe in the merits of the scheme and the educational benefits it offers students and expect that parents will want to support the initiative.

The cost of the scheme will be the same for all year groups, however we ask that the payment plan is completed by when the child has completed their time at school.
Pay Monthly by Direct Debit, depending on the year group your child is currently in:
24 monthly payments of £17.25 (Year 10)
12 monthly payments of £32.62 (Year 11)
There is also an option to make a single payment at a price of £370.67.
All packages include an Acer C722-K200 Chromebook, charger, protective sleeve, device management licence, on and off-site web filtering and a 3 Year Advanced Repair Service included, covering accidental damage and theft *Excluding Chargers.
To participate in the scheme an order must be placed by midnight 10th July 2023. The first payment will be taken on 25th July 2023, so please ensure you have sufficient funds in your nominated account. Devices will be delivered in August, ready for distribution in September. The school is ordering in bulk to ensure the best value so unfortunately we cannot accept any orders after this date.

To order visit the following website and use the username and password provided. You will need personal details including name, address and e-mail address as well your bank details to complete a direct debit instruction. A card option is available if opting for payment in full.
