For students who live in England, the Government website explains that after Year 11, you must do one of the following until you are 18 years old:
- Stay in full-time education, for example, Sixth Form in a school or go to College
- Start an apprenticeship or traineeship
- Spend 20 hours or more a week working or volunteering, while in part-time education or training
