This very successful sixth form college offers a range of subjects. Being rated in the top 10% of school nationally for the last 2 years.
In Sixth Form, students are working towards life after Our Lady and St Chad’s, whether this be at university work, or further training.
We believe that every student can excel on courses that are appropriate to them and this is reflected in our wide range of option choices. There are several pathways that students can take, ranging from A-levels and BTEC courses, or a combination of the two.
Our Lady and St Chad Sixth Form is challenging and exciting. Our School mission is underpinned by the Gospel values of, Respect, Truth, Justice, Peace, Charity and Forgiveness. Within these core values, the Academy begins a journey of ‘Demand more… Inspire curiosity… Secure resilience to failure’ to support families in nurturing children to be young adults of integrity and academic excellence., our sixth form is about having high expectations within a supportive and friendly environment to give our students the best possible foundations to succeed in whatever career path they wish to take.
We offer a range of courses. You will follow the equivalent of at least three Advanced Level courses. This could be three A Levels, a minimum of two 1.5 or single Applied courses, or a combination of these two. All courses last for two years and will be examined externally at the end of the second year. However, there will be ongoing internal assessment throughout Years 12 and 13 which will form the basis for discussion on progress towards target grades and predictions for the final outcomes.

Entry requirement for Our Lady and St Chad Catholic Academy Sixth Form are:
BTEC courses – 5 GCSE Grade 4 or higher, including a minimum of Grade 4 in English Language or Maths
A level courses – 5 GCSE grade 5 or higher, including a minimum of Grade 4 in English and Maths, you will also need a Grade 7 in the subject you wish to study.
Students will need attendance greater than 95%, and students cannot have exclusions or in Year 11.
